When we saw Jessica Mitchell as part of the Heart Of Glass Tour at Toronto's The Great Hall, we had no idea what we were in for.  To even begin to describe a Jessica Mitchell show immediately presents a challenge because no words can properly do it justice. Here we are five days later, and we're still feeling the emotion, the passion and the near out of body experience that comes along with her moving vocals and raw lyrics.

The intimate show opened with country newcomers, Sons of Daughters - a vocal duo made up of Chrystal Leigh and Jimmy Thow - whose eclectic mix of upbeat tunes and mellow emotional ballads made for the perfect combination of musical enjoyment. If you haven't heard from this duo yet - add them to your 'one's to watch list,' and check them out here!

When Jessica Mitchell hit the stage, she was met with overwhelming applause, and her set ended with a standing ovation. The events that took place in between were filled with that deep-rooted emotion that stems from her raw and real lyrics. Opening the show with "That Record Saved My Life," Jessica began the emotional journey that fans have come to crave from this sultry songstress. Jessica quickly joked with the crowd that there are only three upbeat songs in her set, to which the fans cheered profusely. When she performed the track from which her tour was named, the crowd sat silently as if to take in every word and every musical note. For "Firechaser," Jessica kicked things up a notch, flipping her hair and rockin' out on her guitar. But, she quickly reverted back, as Jessica sat behind her keyboard to perform a melodious rendition of her current single, "Maybe It's Me." In amongst some of her hits, Jessica also performed a countrified version of Sia's "Elastic Heart," that we're certain gave everyone chills. Jessica then returned to the stage for an encore of her debut single, "Workin' On Whiskey."

If you haven't yet been to a Jessica Mitchell show, add this to your to-do list immediately. We promise you won't regret it.
