ROBYN OTTOLINI finds ‘A Safe Place To Land’ on Long awaited debut album, out August 21

After captivating millions with her unfiltered songwriting and numerous viral hits, platinum-selling CCMA Award winner Robyn Ottolini is set to unveil her most personal project to date. Ottolini’s long-awaited debut album, A Safe Place To Land, will be released August 21 via ONErpm. The announcement arrives alongside her new track, “God Knows I Try,” available everywhere today.

The release also marks a pivotal new chapter in Ottolini’s career as she officially signs with ONErpm. The partnership arrives on the heels of years of organic growth, viral success, and a fiercely loyal global fanbase. Now rooted in Music City, Ottolini has built a reputation in town for pairing sharp songwriting with unflinching honesty, earning multiple Billboard Canadian Country Top 40 hits and cultivating devoted listeners – in Canada, the States and around the world.

Serving as the latest preview of the full-length project, “God Knows I Try” highlights the emotional transparency that has become Ottolini’s signature. Blending sharp lyricism with heartfelt vulnerability, the track explores the tension between self-doubt and self-acceptance, offering another glimpse into the deeply personal themes that run throughout A Safe Place To Land.

If I get high, that don’t mean I ain’t ladylike
When I mess up, that don’t mean I ain’t good enough
Yeah my past is checkered, nobody’s got a spotless record
So I, sleep fine, ‘cause God knows I try
God knows I try

“‘God Knows I Try’ represents the shift from my people-pleasing tendencies to believing that everyone’s opinions are just that, opinions,” says Ottolini. “It’s not only a declaration to others, but a reminder to myself that I’m trying my best and giving everything in my heart to this life. My effort and intentions are what define me, not where I may fall short in someone else’s eyes.”

She adds, “Embracing circumstances for what they are and finding grace in imperfection are core themes throughout this album. That’s why I wanted to introduce my debut album with this song. It reflects the trust I’ve learned to have in myself and the belief that, no matter what happens, I can be proud knowing I gave it my all.”

She also released an accompanying music video today, filmed at Rutledge Falls in Tennessee. “The idea was inspired by the video for Justin Bieber’s song ‘I’ll Show You’,” Ottolini continued. “Though we couldn’t make it to Iceland, Rutledge Falls was the perfect setting for my dreamy waterfall backdrop.” WatchHERE.

Since breaking through with her viral hit “F-150,” Ottolini has carved out a distinct space in modern country music, fusing melodic vocals with a conversational, spoken-word edge first inspired by Sam Hunt’s Montevallo era, while evolving that approach into a signature part of her own sound. She has continued to build a global audience through sharp storytelling, self-aware humor, and an unflinching ability to transform life’s messiest moments into songs that feel honest, relatable, and compelling.

With A Safe Place to Land, Ottolini delivers her most complete artistic statement yet – a 13-track collection tracing healing, growth, self-discovery, and the hard-won optimism that emerges on the other side of heartbreak. She holds a writing credit on every song and collaborated closely with a trusted circle of creative partners throughout the project, entrusting the album’s production entirely to songwriter and producer Lenny Pey, who also co-wrote seven of the tracks.

Over the past several months, Ottolini has offered fans an early glimpse of A Safe Place To Land with the releases of “Airplane Bottle,” “If Hell Were a Bar,” “Wranglin’ the Wind,” and the viral fan favorite “Growing Down.” The latter first gained momentum on TikTok, inspiring more than 40,000 fan-created videos built around its unforgettable opening lyric: “I used to crave a seat at a table that I should’ve f**king flipped.”

The response was immediate and overwhelming, prompting Ottolini to fast-track the release of the original demo in February so fans could hear the same raw, unfiltered version that first resonated online. A full studio recording followed shortly thereafter.

A Safe Place To Landarrives nearly six years after Ottolini’s breakout hit “F-150” introduced her honest, relatable songwriting to a global audience. Now, with her debut album, Ottolini delivers the most fully realized chapter of her story yet, one rooted in resilience, growth, and finding peace in exactly who you are.
