BRANDI CAROLINE Shares Debut Solo Album ‘Living Room’

Already boasting an incredible career, award-winning musician and vocalist Brandi Sidoryk is stepping confidently into her next chapter. Released under the artist name Brandi Caroline, Sidoryk’s given name, the new project speaks directly to the evolution of a Prairie-raised songstress who has spread her wings and found her own voice. Fans will get the first taste of Caroline’s new direction with the release of her debut solo album – Living Room – out today.

Produced by Murray Pulver, Living Room is a collection of ten songs that tell a story of personal triumph and the challenges one faces on the journey to freedom. From the open-hearted “I Don’t” and the sassy warning shot of “There’ll Be Trouble” to the deeply personal,story-driven “Prairie Queen (ft. Jade Turner)” and the album title track “Living Room,” Caroline has made one thing clear with this release; she has created space for her solo artistry to grow while paying homage to the musical genres that shaped her.

“I wrote ‘Living Room’ the moment I finally broke free and I knew right away it was the sun the rest of the album would orbit around,” shares Caroline. “Every other song on this record lives somewhere in that story; the moment you realize you’re being taken advantage of, the moment you break the cycle, or the moment you finally bask in your own freedom.”

A perfect blend of authentic storytelling and cinematic alt-country arrangements, Living Room is Americana at its best. The album carries listeners through the last six years of Caroline’s life, leveraging her personal experience to encourage others that freedom is on the other side of pain. “Sharing music that highlights my raw emotion and personal experiences is definitely challenging emotionally but I think they are a beautiful and messy reflection of who I have become artistically, lyrically and sonically,” said Caroline. “Listening back to these songs, I can relate to the moments, heartbreak and newfound freedom they describe which makes me hope that others will be able to, too.”

Also making an impact in Australia, where her music has attracted growing support from country radio, including high rotation airplay for her current single, “Prairie Queen”, on ABC Country, Australia’s national public broadcaster’s dedicated country music platform, Living Room is not just a debut – it’s an arrival. Six years in the making and shaped by co-writers including Colleen Francis, David Borys, Adam Wheeler and Krista Wodelet, the album is a testament to what happens when a songwriter finally tells her own story in her own voice.

Caroline will celebrate the release with a hometown show at Sweet Loretta’s in Calgary on November 19, with tickets available at brandicaroline.com.

Living Room is available everywhere now.
