PETRIC gears up for festival season with release of self-titled EP

Gearing up for summer festival season, multi-award winning Canadian country trio Petric – Tom Petric, Jason Petric, and Jordan Day – return with the release of their self-titled EP Petric, available for streaming today. Featuring their recent single “Over A Girl,” the three song collection is rounded out with brand new soul-stirring track “Wheels” and a countrified rendition of the Bonnie Tyler classic “The Best.”

It’s been a few years since we’ve put out more than just a single,” the band shares. “We have some shows this summer that we’re really excited about, and we wanted to get this collection out to bring it on tour! There is lots of energy in these songs, and we hope everyone loves listening to them and singing along, as much as we love performing them!

A standout on the collection is their reimagining of “The Best.” Featuring Petric’s trademark brand of rock-country fusion, the track pulsates with vibrant guitars and soaring, impassioned vocals, encapsulating the timeless essence of the original while infusing it with newfound country flair.

The Best is one of the greatest love songs of all time,” they explain. “We have been playing this song in our set for years, and it’s always been a great part of the show. We had been talking about recording this song for a few years, and really love what we were able to do with it in studio.”

Hailing from Manitoba, Petric has accumulated over 15 million worldwide online streams, 12 charting singles, and three Top 20 hits. Petric’s 2021 album Flashbacks has accumulated over three million online streams alone and has opened doors to multiple international markets, with their recent release “Flirtin’” charting as high as #23 on the Australia country radio charts. Beginning to make international waves, trio have firmly established themselves within their home country of Canada, having performed on some of the country’s biggest festival stages such as Boots & Hearts, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, the Calgary Stampede, Dauphin’s Countryfest, and the Big Valley Jamboree, along with national television coverage, and receiving acclaimed praise from the likes of SiriusXM, The Boot, Complete Country and Top Country.

This summer, Petric will be bringing their new music to festival stages, including Country on the Bay in Thunder Bay, and joining the studded line up, including Default and Coleman Hell, at the inaugural Shake the Lake festival in Kenora, ON – organized by Petric’s own Jason Petric.

As anticipation mounts for the release of the sentimental music video for “The Best” on May 6, just in time to pay homage to Mother’s Day, be sure to connect with @petricmusic on all social platforms or visit www.petricmusic.com for the latest updates and tour dates.
