Rising Canadian country artist Amanda Jordan will unveil her debut album, “Still Standing” across all digital streaming platforms today. Produced primarily in Nashville by Joël Bruyère, “Still Standing” arrives after the album’s five successful singles and videos – “You Don’t Wanna Know”, which hit the Top 5 on SiriusXM’s Top of the Country, “Tonight I Am”, for which Amanda was selected as CMT’s Next Up Now Artist for July 2024, “Can’t Keep Her”, which was picked up by CMT Australia, “Anymore”, which was added to CMT, and the album’s current lead-in track, “Someone Who Comes Back”.
Together with the album’s title track, “Still Standing” uses its 6-song story arc as a mirror of the artist’s own emotional journey in the aftermath of a doomed relationship fractured by betrayal and devastated by heartbreak.
Amanda says, “This album was journey of healing that took me through denial, anger, depression and ultimately empowerment in creating it. By using music as a means of moving forward, I discovered that there can be beauty in breaking and that there is strength in knowing that I’m still standing.”
Along with her frequent collaborator Bruyère, Amanda was joined in the album’s writing process by crop of some of Nashville’s finest including Rick Huckaby, Brian Fuller, Mason Thornley, Jason Saenz, Dave Pittenger, and Derrick Southerland.
Amanda’s 2022 musical performance on ABC’s “The Bachelor” of her single “I Choose You” lifted the song to 2 million Spotify streams alone. It later reached #21 on the US Country Billboard Sales Chart and #2 on the US iTunes Country Chart. As she has continued to grow her prolific music career equally in Canada and Nashville, Amanda has earned nearly 11 million digital streams and gained almost 135K new fans on TikTok.
In 2023, Amanda was a semi-finalist in the SiriusXM Top of the Country Competition and a finalist in CBC Music’s Searchlight Competition before being named Outstanding Country Artist in the latter’s 2024 edition. Amanda is also making gains as an actor with credits like “Christmas in Maple Hills” (FOX Nation), “Rush For Your Life” (Tubi), “Holly Hobbie” (BYUtv/Hulu), and “Feeling Butterflies” (The Hallmark Channel), along with dual lead acting and singing roles on “A Bluegrass Christmas” (UPtv) and the upcoming “A Country Encore”.
“Still Standing” is the latest milestone in an already-impressive journey for Amanda, but she believes it can act as an inspiration for others to trade heartbreak for empowerment.
She says, “From this album, I hope that people will find comfort and also feel confident that all the love they gave to the wrong person will find its way back to them through a love that’s real.”
