Annika Catharina is thrilled to share her debut EP, “You and Me”, out today across all digital streaming platforms. Produced by The Renaissance (Dan Botch and Garrett Ward) and featuring songwriting from Annika and fellow artists Parker Graye, Zach McPhee, Brettyn Rose, and Amanda Couture, “You and Me” offers 5 contemplative tracks that represent the artist’s own experiences with love.
Annika says, “These songs are snapshots from past relationships that I never fully resolved. At its core, ‘You and Me’ is really about the universal feeling of love – how it lifts us up, breaks us down, and changes us. Bringing it to life let me leave the lingering memories behind and open my eyes just enough to see how far I’ve come.”
For the Abbotsford, British Columbia-based artist, the EP’s first four singles have brought significant accolades – including over 1 million digital streams, more than 35 DSP editorial playlist adds, back-to-back #1 singles on SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, and a semi-finalist slot in the 2025 SiriusXM Top of the Country Competition.
“What if I” – about chasing the love in the face of fear – hit #2 on SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, was an Unsigned Only Music Competition Finalist, and made Apple Music’s “Canada’s Country” editorial playlist. Spotify named Annika a RADAR Canada and EQUAL Canada artist, lifting the song to 175K Spotify streams.
“Bandit” – a cheeky ode to want and desire – marked Annika’s first #1 on SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, while reaching 100K Spotify streams and earning Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlist slots. CMT Australia added the “Bandit” video to two programming blocks.
“Love and Hate” – chronicling a stormy relationship’s emotional cycle – gave Annika back-to-back #1 hits on SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio. She was the face of Amazon Music’s “Poppin’ Country” playlist and Apple Music’s “Canada’s Country” playlist, while landing over 200K Spotify streams and two editorial playlists. CMT Australia also picked up the music video.
“Dishonest” – about lies, hurt, and betrayal – reached 200K Spotify streams, four Amazon editorial playlists, and five Apple Music editorial playlists (including the “Canada’s Country” cover slot). The single led into Annika’s semi-finalist selection in the 2025 SiriusXM Top of the Country Competition and a performance slot at the 2025 BC Country Music Association Awards, where she was nominated for the Ray McAuley Emerging Artist Award.
Finally, “You and Me” – the EP’s title track and brand new song – examines the seemingly impossible task of moving on from the one you love.
While the EP will close the chapter on lingering memories and recent milestones, Annika Catharina is eager to begin another – defined by more new music and continued momentum.
“You and Me” is out now on all digital streaming platforms. Annika will support the release at the City of Hope’s Canada Day Celebration (July 1st), the Bow Valley Boot Stomp Country Music Festival (July 19th) and the Abbotsford Agrifair (August 1st).
