DEVIN COOPER Announces Fifth Annual Ride To Remember With Headliner JJ SHIPLETT

Award-winning, celebrated Calgary artist Devin Cooper today proudly announces the much anticipated 5th annual Ride To Remember charity event, slated to take place in Calgary at The Palace Theatre on June 29th featuring headliner JJ Shiplett. Having already raised over $50k in support of the Alzheimer Society of Calgary since launching the event in 2019, this year’s event will aim to raise another $50k for the cause close to Cooper’s heart.

This year’s event will see performances by Cooper alongside 2024 Top of the Country semi-finalist Mariya Stokes and headliner, fellow Calgary-based singer-songwriter JJ Shiplett. Shiplett who has become a mainstay in Americana/country music over the last few years just released his highly regarded fourth studio album “A Way Through Time” – recently heralded by Americana UK, “The songwriting is right out of the top drawer…This is a beautiful record, that is equal parts personal and worldly. Give it a little time to infiltrate your musical memory, and it will undoubtedly repay you.”

“Over the past five years, we’ve been really proud to watch Ride to Remember grow into such a successful annual event for the Alzheimer Society of Calgary and we are so thankful for the ongoing support from the Calgary community,” shares Cooper. “I’m so proud of what this event has been able to accomplish in the past 5 years and after raising an incredible $40k last year alone, we know our goal for this year’s event of $50k can be easily reached.”

Not one to slow down, last month Cooper released the stripped down live acoustic version of his latest single She’s My Religion.” The track was recorded at OCL Studios at the end of last year where Cooper invited 45 of his friends and fans to participate in the live recording video. The single released in February is a heartfelt love song written for Cooper’s partner who is not only his inspiration behind the scenes but can also be heard singing backing vocals on the track. The live version of “She’s My Religion” will be featured on Cooper’s upcoming album coming out later this year.
