KALSEY KULYK releases video for ‘Heaven, Are You Listening’ New album ‘Outlaw Poetry’ out

Kalsey Kulyk has unveiled the striking new music video for “Heaven, Are You Listening?,” filmed recently at Grace Lutheran Church in Edmonton, Alberta. CMT, American Country Network, Heartland and The Country Network have all committed to adding the video into rotation.

2024 has been a monumental year in the career of Kalsey Kulyk, thanks to the success of her single “Love Me Like an Outlaw.” The song has now surpassed 2 million streams and reached the Top 20 at Canadian country radio, staying there for three straight weeks. Kulyk picked up a leading five nominations at the 2024 Country Music Alberta Awards.

In February, Kulyk released her brand-new album Outlaw Poetry – all written or co-written by Kulyk and showcasing her growth as a musician and bold delivery).

Outlaw Poetry is the album I’ve been dreaming of releasing my whole life,” says Kulyk. “It’s the beginning chapter of really letting my audience in to the whole of who I am as a person, artist and writer. Throughout this record, I really wanted to take the listener on a journey, through the highs and lows and in-betweens.”

No stranger to country music, everything changed for Kulyk last year, when she released “Love Me Like an Outlaw.” Kulyk had been sitting on the track for nearly five years, always believing it was special. Trusting her instincts, she finally released it and watched it become the most successful song release of her career.

“Sometimes you just got to go with your gut,” says Kulyk. “I’ve heard a lot of ‘no’s,’ and ‘you’re a mom, this dream is almost impossible now.’ But like the saying goes, I didn’t come here to leave! As an independent country artist and mom who has been performing since she was 3, you are all making that little girl’s dream come true.”

Born in Hudson Bay, SK, and now based in Beaumont, AB, with husband and fellow artist Eric Ethridge and their 2-year-old son, Kulyk is gearing up for a busy year of touring, including performances the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree and Boots and Hearts this summer.
