Thirteen Year Old Country Sensation BROOKLYN SUMMER

Thirteen-year-old country sensation Brooklyn Summer is excited to release her rockin’ new single, “Kickin It Country.” The infectious two-steppin’ anthem was co-written with Nashville tunesmiths Scott Barrier and Bill DiLuigi and was produced by multi-award-winning musician and record producer, Smith Curry. It is already creating a buzz among industry professionals and music fans alike. The song will be featured twice on Radio SoBro’s NuMu Friday upon release at 12:30 and 5 PM CST, and it will also be featured as part of Center Stage Magazine’s Fresh Indie Country and Pop Blitz Magazine’s New Music Friday. “Kickin’ It Country” is now available on all digital and streaming platforms.

Guaranteed to have listeners crankin’ up their volume and singin’ along in anticipation of the weekend, “Kickin It Country” is reminiscent of the popular 90s sound when country greats like Waylon & Wille, Brooks & Dunn, Dolly, and Tanya could be heard prominently blaring on every jukebox across America. This unforgettable two-stepper conveys a universal message that everyone can relate to… looking forward to Friday night!!!  No matter where you are or what you are into, everyone loves to crank up the music, hit the dance floor, and have a good time!

“‘Kickin’ It Country’ is a celebration of those priceless Friday nights we live for spent with family and friends and surrounded by the music that sets our souls free,” comments Summer.

“Friday nights are bound to be rolling around
In every busy city and every itty bitty town
If you like loud and rowdy you’re not alone (no)
Oh I don’t know what you do, to get your good time on

We got two steppers, longneckers
90’s gold vinyl records
Now and then, Mom n them
Crank a little Eminem
Bass fishing, boat rockers
Head banging, boot stompers
Morgan Wallin, Willie, Waylon
Buffet if you’re into sailing
Loving it, living it,
Keeping it, kickin’ it – country

If the fair ain’t on and there’s not a tractor pull
We line up like a buncha line-dancing fools
Real deal fiddle and steel coming in hot
Lots so full it’s hard, to find a parking spot

Chorus

Show boatin,’ dosidoin,’.Cotton-eyed Joein’
Hands up, having fun
Scootin’ to some Brooks & Dunn
Cowboys snappin’ pearls, yeah
Trying to catch a cowgirl
Got Dolly, Gretchen, Tanya Tucker
Everybody and their mother
Loving it, living it
Keeping it, kickin it…country….

ABOUT BROOKLYN SUMMER

Thirteen-year-old country powerhouse singer/songwriter Brooklyn Summer is a superstar in the making. The California native who was born in Morgan Hill (Silicon Valley) and moved to LA in third grade, proves that dynamite comes in small packages and people are taking notice. Although she may be tiny in stature, Summer is quickly becoming known for her BIG voice. The young country-rocker notes artists from Gretchen Wilson, Miranda Lambert, and Pistol Annies, to Adele, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson as her biggest musical influences and she takes a little something that she has learned along the way from each of them adding to it her own distinctive style to create something unforgettable.

Summer has already graced the stages of some of Music City’s most prestigious venues since her recent move from Los Angeles including Live Oak, Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk & Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse, The Listening Room, The Local, The Stage on Broadway, the world-famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Up! Rooftop Lounge, and Virgin Hotel Nashville. She was recently invited to play the iconic Bluebird Cafe where she made her debut in July. Summer has also been busy writing and recording with Nashville’s finest hit songwriters and producers.

It is evident that Summer is not afraid of hard work. She has been performing since the tender age of 5 and is mature way beyond her years. Not only is she a singer/songwriter, but an actress, voice-over artist, and print model. She has already appeared in numerous films and is recognized by both the Los Angeles and Nashville communities for her talent – volunteering her voice singing for hospice and performing at local county fairs and festivals. She was named Grand Champion winner of both the California State Talent Competition and the Greater Bay Area Talent Competitions in her age group.

Summer resides in Music City where she is home-schooled, currently a freshman in high school, and working diligently on her music career every day. She spends time co-writing and has over 60 cataloged songs with BMI, is taking vocal lessons, and teaches herself guitar. Summer practices daily, and performs all over the southeast and California. Despite her busy schedule, Summer is still a typical teenager, enjoying the same things as her peers. When she is not on stage, she enjoys drawing, swing dancing, horseback riding, playing Roblox, and loves animals.

Summer’s last single, “Blues On The Blacktop” was released in May of 2023 and is nearing an impressive 230k streams. She is currently in the studio working on new music to be released later this year. When asked what is next for Summer, she notes “I would love to be signed by a record label who understands me and shares my vision and my passion. Music is everything to me! It is universal and so powerful. I want to use my talents, music, and platform to give back to my community and to help others” …and that is exactly what she will do, make a difference…one song at a time.
