After nearly a decade of championing country music’s timeless traditions, GRAMMY® nominated trio Midland is turning up the bass and giving three songs from their catalogue the YEEDM treatment. Following a surprise pop-up at Los Angeles’ Desert 5 Spot last week with Nashville DJ duo Country Night, the trio officially releases Midland Country Night Remixes, a three-song collection that takes their unmistakable neotraditional sound from the honky-tonk floor to the nightclub. Built on booming bass and floating melodies that crescendo into irresistible beat drops, the collection reimagines Midland’s 6x PLATINUM No. 1 hit “Drinkin’ Problem,” the soulful saloon ballad “Barely Blue” and “Shooting Memories With Tequila,” a standout from their critically acclaimed new album Stages.
Released last month, Midland’s sixth studio album, Stages, further establishes the trio as one of the genre’s leading modern traditional acts, pairing classic country craftsmanship with the unmistakable sound that has defined their career.
This summer and fall, Midland will bring their acclaimed live show to audiences across North America on the Stages Tour. Praised by Rolling Stone as “a live band that is as musically solid as they are fun to watch,” the trio will also join Kacey Musgraves on select dates before co-headlining a limited eight-show run with country icon Clint Black, their collaborator on the Stages standout “Up In Texas.”
