ANNIKA CATHARINA embraces fun, chaos, and self-discovery on new EP, “Up All Night”

Breakout Canadian country artist Annika Catharina is set to release her sophomore EP, “Up All Night”, on July 31st across all streaming platforms. Produced by The Renaissance (Dan Botch and Garrett Ward), “Up All Night” expands beyond the love and heartbreak themes of Annika’s 2025 debut, “You and Me”, to explore new ground while retaining her distinct country essence and adding deliberate touches of rock and folk.

Annika says, “This EP is inspired by things that can keep us up at night – ideas, stories, songs that make us want to dance, and the deeper thoughts we have as we experience life and discover who we are. ‘Up All Night’ navigates the balance between having fun, embracing chaos, learning from the past, and looking ahead with confidence and self-awareness.”

For the artist from British Columbia’s Fraser Valley, “Up All Night” follows several key milestones:

  • 3 million digital streams since 2024 across 9 singles and her debut EP.
  • A 2025 Billboard Canada Country Top 50 single (“Love and Hate”), which earned iHeartRadio Future Star and Rogers One to Watch honours.
  • 50+ editorial playlist placements, including Apple and Amazon cover slots, Spotify RADAR Canada and EQUAL Canada features.
  • Back-to-back #1 singles on SiriusXM Top of the Country radio and a semi-finalist spot in the 2025 SiriusXM Top of the Country Competition.
  • A finalist nod in the 2025 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase.

The new 7-track EP blends past singles and new songs co-written by Annika alongside Wes Mack, Doug Folkins, Aidan Johnson-Bujold, Jada Leroux, Spencer Burns, Bailey Jacobson, and producers Botch and Ward.

  • “Old Habit” – which trades bad patterns and people for stronger self-worth – hit 800K Spotify streams, gained Spotify and Amazon Music editorial support, and featured Annika as the face of Apple Music’s “Canada’s Country” editorial playlist.
  • “Dancing with the Devil” – a fiery pushback against bad behaviour – earned 350K Spotify streams and 6 editorial playlist slots across Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music.
  • “Better Hands” – a breezy ode to the confidence and safety of finding your person – reached 150K Spotify streams and was added by SiriusXM Top of the Country radio.
  • “Under Covers” – an anthem about women taking control and having fun – earned Annika a nod as JR Country Artist of the Month last fall.
  • New songs “Cartwheels”, “Won’t Be You Tonight”, and the title track round out the EP by reflecting on nostalgia, going out and letting go, and contemplating love and loss.

Leading with honest storytelling on a country canvas infused with rock and folk energy, “Up All Night” marks a bold next chapter for Annika as she continues to establish herself as one of Canada’s most exciting rising country talents.

Annika Catharina’s “Up All Night” EP arrives on all streaming platforms on July 31st.
