Shantaia releases her new single, “Find Out,” offering the latest preview of her forthcoming eight-track album, One Trick Pony, arriving October 16. A slow-burning country-soul track with a blues edge, “Find Out” captures the moment undeniable chemistry outweighs caution, trading hesitation for a direct and playfully confident invitation.
Built around the hook “Let’s mess around and find out,” the song turns fantasy into action. Its flirtatious lyric and steadily building tension bring a more intimate, self-assured side of Shantaia’s voice to the foreground — one that deepens the album’s move into soul and blues without losing its country foundation.
“‘Find Out’ is about that moment when the chemistry is obvious and you decide to stop talking yourself out of it,” says Shantaia. “There’s a confidence and playfulness to this song that I love, and it gave me the space to lean further into the soul and blues influences that feel so natural to my voice. It’s a side of me I was so excited to bring forward on this album.”
Produced by Curt Chambers, Brad Hill and Shantaia herself, One Trick Pony is presented as a deliberate reveal. The album’s opening tracks establish the country and country-soul sound audiences already know from Shantaia before its second half moves further into soul, R&B and blues. While her previous single, “Risk You Run,” marks that transition, “Find Out” carries it forward with a greater sense of confidence, sensuality and freedom.
The newest release arrives as Shantaia joins the 2026 class of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Forward program, adding to a year of significant growth and industry recognition. Over the past year, she has gained more than 80,000 followers and generated over 25 million social impressions.
Much of that growth has been driven by Shantaia’s viral cover series featuring her horse, Dally. While fans have fallen in love with the musical bond between the two, artists including Shania Twain, Julia Michaelsand Kelsea Ballerini have also joined the conversation throughout the viral series. French electronic duo French Fuse duetted one of the videos, further extending the series beyond Shantaia’s existing country audience.
“Find Out” also follows Shantaia’s recent return to her home province for Country Music Week in Saskatoon, where she performed as part of the CCMA Songwriters Series and at CCMA House.
With nearly 10 million cumulative streams, Shantaia is a five-time Saskatchewan Country Music Award winner whose honours include back-to-back Female Artist of the Year wins and Song of the Year. Her touring history includes support dates with the Hunter Brothers and Kane Brown, along with an appearance alongside John Mayer at the PRS 40th anniversary at the House of Blues in Anaheim. Earlier this summer, she was also named runner-up in the 2026 SoFi Amplify Your Ambitions Contest, created in partnership with Kelsea Ballerini and the Country Music Association.
