ELYSE SAUNDERS premieres video for hit single ‘Never Have I Ever’

Toronto-based country artist Elyse Saunders has unveiled the official music video for her breakout hit “Never Have I Ever,” inviting fans into an intimate, playful journey through the lens of her partner’s camera, capturing the essence of a newfound love and the spirit of the popular game it pays homage to.

“Never Have I Ever,” a spirited country-bop full of charm, hometown nostalgia and country truths, truly reinforces Saunders’ star power. Produced by BCCMA Award-winner Dan Swinimer (Sacha, JoJo Mason, Madelaine Merlo), the song showcases Saunders’ fiery vocals, and featured vocal background and electric guitar solos from chart-topper Jason Blaine, who co-wrote the song with Saunders in Nashville.

The song continues its ascent on the Canadian country radio charts, now sitting inside the Top 40. Bell/iHeart Radio chose the song as their Future Star to begin the new year, and Rogers named it the chain’s One to Watch. Saunders is also the top Canadian radio charting artist at Mediabase. She will be introducing the song to Australian radio in March.

2024 is shaping up to be a monumental year for Saunders. In addition to the song’s hot start at radio, Saunders recently inked a publishing deal with Arts & Crafts, signed to Sakamoto Agency for her concert bookings, and Apple Music named her one of their Rising Country Stars of 2024. Next month, Saunders will hit the road with River Town Saints on their cross-Ontario Spring Fling tour, followed by a number of performances this summer across Canada including the Palmer Rapids Twin Music Festival on July 26, the Boots and Hearts festival in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, alongside Thomas Rhett and Matchbox Twenty, on August 10, and Quebec’s Richmond Expo on September 6.

“The day we wrote ‘Never Have I Ever,’ I knew it was a special song, and to know that fans and radio love it just as much as I do means the world,” says Saunders. “Like so many other artists, my journey has been an uphill climb, but with everything that’s been happening to kick off the year, it’s rewarding and fulfilling to see that the hard work is paying off now in a really big way.”

As an award-winning singer-songwriter, Elyse Saunders has carved her path in country music as a powerhouse vocalist, dynamic stage performer and accomplished songwriter. A recipient of funding from FACTOR Canada (JSR) and Creative BC, Elyse is making huge strides in Canada while garnering international attention, earning accolades such as a 2023 CMAOntario Award and three Mississauga Music Awards. Her music videos have been featured multiple times on CMT in the U.S. and earned regular rotation on CMT Australia, while her songs have amassed over 3.4 million global streams with major playlist support. Elyse has been steadily growing her songwriting catalogue between Nashville and Canada for several years, releasing numerous singles of her own and securing 13 cuts by other artists.

Saunders delivers a high-energy performance tailored for festivals and takes pride in connecting with both existing fans and new audiences. She has graced the stages of over 400 shows at festivals like Boots and Hearts, Sunfest Country Music Festival, Canadian Music Week, CCMA Awards week, and the CMAOntario Awards stage.
