Kalsey Kulyk releases the melancholic new single, “Your Side of the Bar” out today via Universal Music Canada. The powerful new ballad ebbs and flows with Kulyk’s signature sound, with dreamy vocals enhanced with light and airy strings. You can feel the emotion in the lyrics as she sings, “I can’t let my broken heart believe in all your lies.” Kulyk confronts the universally relatable sentiment that crosses everyone’s mind when dealing with heartbreak and the difficult task of moving on with lines like, “best if you just stay right where you are, on your side of the bar.” “Your Side of the Bar” was written by Kalsey Kulyk and Jeff Garrison, who also produced the record.
The new single follows the exciting news of Kulyk’s Grand Ole Opry debut performance this fall, announced during CCMA week. During Kulyk’s performance with Patricia Conroy at the official CCMAs Legends Showcase, she was surprised with a personalized video invitation from country music trailblazer Lainey Wilson, to make her official Grand Ole Opry debut on November 21. Kulyk has worked with Wilson in the past to collaborate on the 2018 single, “Dreamcatcher” and more. In the video invitation, Lainey praises Kulyk’s talents, noting: “You have one of the most beautiful voices that I have ever heard to this day,” she continues, “I cannot think of anyone more deserving.”
