LAUREN ALAINA Delivers New Anthem “Raining Whiskey,” Where “Heartbreak Meets Happy Hour”

Lauren Alaina releases new song “Raining Whiskey,” marking her first release of 2026. Following the rise of “All My Exes (feat. Chase Matthew),” which she performed on The Today show alongside Chase Matthew last year, the song is currently in the top 30s at country radio after being most-added two weeks in a row, marking the biggest first-week streaming numbers of Alaina’s career.

“’Raining Whiskey’ is what happens when heartbreak meets happy hour,” shares Alaina. “It represents a completely different stage of my life than the one I am in now, but it reflects one that I’m glad I lived through. I am happy to finally be able to tell the story of my twenties while living a new chapter in my thirties.”

The new song “Raining Whiskey” was written by Ben Johnson, Hunter Phelps, Jordan Minton, Geoff Warburton and VWillz. In this new stage of life, Lauren is tapping into her most melodic and sassy era yet:

It’s raining whiskey in this bar
Two in the morning and it’s pouring on a broken heart
Yeah I can hear the thunder roll when I throw them back
Yeah you know as long as you ain’t with me
There’s a 100 proof chance it’s raining whiskey in this bar

Last year was monumental for Alaina with previously released singles, “Those Kind of Women,” “Household,” “All My Exes (feat. Chase Matthew),” “Heaven Sent,”and “Little Things.” In addition to supporting Rascal Flatt’s on their Life Is A Highway Tour, she co-hosted the CMA Awards Backstage Live, was featured in the ABC primetime special, “Center Stage: Countdown to the CMA Awards — Special Edition of 20/20,” and participated in Variety‘s inaugural Interview Lounge

Next Saturday, the Georgia native will join Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Zach Top for Live Between The Hedges, taking place at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium. In May, she will participate in ACM Lifting Lives Country on the Green alongside Riley Green, Rodney Atkins and Randy Houser. All ticket proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, buy tickets here. In June, Alaina will support Darius Rucker on select dates of his Songs of Summer Tour. Throughout the spring and summer, she will play various shows and festivals including Carolina Country Music Festival, CMA Fest, Rock the South, and more.
